Meet the sisterS

Hi! We're Rafi and Tegen, two friends based in Leamington Spa who stumbled upon each other in a baby-parent group.

Our sons weren’t even walking yet when our bond was sealed over a t-shirt (the irony isn’t lost on us) that Rafaela was rocking. Having fun with art and fashion is our way to self-expression, so one day we decided to pair Tegen’s artistic skills with Rafaela’s editing eye and digital marketing know-how to launch original hand-drawn artwork.

But why Awkward Sisters, you ask? Whether it’s feeling introverted and saying the (right) wrong thing in social situations or having a quirky sense of style that stands out for miles, in one way or another, we consider ourselves a bit…awkward. So, we decided to lean into it and let the magic happen.

Naturally, our motto is to Embrace your Awkward and just.have.fun and our designs are an expression of exactly that.
